Homemade facial scrub made from bran and fiber
You can use bran and fiber as a homemade facial scrub. I bought flax fiber and wheat bran for breakfast and noticed that in kefir they retain a certain “hardness” which can be used for cosmetic purposes.
For several years I have been using [salt with soda] as a scrub ( https://g.janecraft.net/sol-v-kosmetologii/) , but every year the skin type changes a little from problematic and oily towards normal, and in the frosty season, sensitive and irritated. Favorite salt and soda are no longer so pleasing; sometimes they are too dry and traumatic. I had to look for an alternative.
I decided to cleanse myself with bran and fiber, and I didn’t regret it! Much nicer than salt, but no less effective at exfoliating. I tried several scrub bases, I will share the recipes with you.
Let me start with the fact that fiber works like a sponge on the skin, absorbing fat and dissolving sebaceous plugs. Works best on steamed, prepared skin. Bran, in turn, nourishes and tightens the skin.
Scrub with sour cream and flax fiber
For one procedure, 2 teaspoons of sour cream as a base and a teaspoon of fiber are enough for me. During water procedures, I apply it to steamed skin with massage movements, leave it for 5-7 minutes, massage my face again and wash off the scrub mask. This recipe was ideal for me - the skin is clean, moisturized and velvety. Very good [masks]( https://g.janecraft.net/?s=%D0%BC%D0%B0%D1%81%D0%BA%D0%B8&submit=%D0%9D%D0%B0 I described %D0%B9%D1%82%D0%B8) for different skin types in the blog Vegetable garden on the windowsill .
Homemade face scrub with sour cream and flax fiber
I grate the cucumber and add 2 tsp of bran to 1 small cucumber, let it brew for a couple of minutes - I don’t let it get too soggy. I intensively massage the steamed face, leave it on the skin for 5-7 minutes, and wash it off. During the cucumber season I only use this scrub and I am very pleased.
Winter honey scrub with fiber, bran and sea buckthorn oil
For 2 teaspoons of uncandied honey, a spoonful of fiber and bran, a few drops of sea buckthorn oil. Stir thoroughly and massage the skin for 2-3 minutes. I wash my face with warm water, remove the remaining oil with a napkin, but if you are not in a hurry or make a mask at night, do not wash your face too thoroughly))). This recipe helps out during the period of piercing winds and frosts, the skin says thank you.
If your skin is problematic, oily, bothered by acne and inflamed elements, feel free to add salt to bran and fiber. The basis for bran scrubs can be any base oil suitable for your skin type. I wrote about which oil is suitable for which skin type here .
