Coconut oil for hair. Masks with coconut oil

Blondes will especially love coconut oil for hair. The effect after the oil is like after keratin in the salon. Coconut oil masks are ideal for curly and unruly hair. BUT! If you use henna or basma, or other organic dyes, the pigment from your hair will be washed out more actively. I refused masks with coconut oil precisely because I wear henna, but if you want to quickly wash off henna , then hot coconut oil will help you. mask with coconut oil

Masks with coconut oil are ideal:

  • for bleached hair
  • after perm
  • if you visit the swimming pool
  • after the beach season
  • with hard tap water
  • for dry dandruff
  • for dry split ends
  • for natural curls
  • as a preventative nutrition and moisturizer for oily hair, once every 2 weeks
  • hair care in winter
  • best moisturizing for brittle and dull hair
  • hair restoration after chemotherapy

In addition to all of the above, coconut oil is a natural source of vitamin E, K, lauric acid and iron; its molecules most naturally bind to collagen molecules in the hair, filling and smoothing the scales, restoring the hair structure. The oil continues to work inside the hair for 2 to 4 weeks, which means there is no need to use such a mask more often. Coconut oil, along with avocado oil, are the best herbal substances for treating hair and scalp. I finish praising and move on to the recipes.

These are not express options. You need to take time to use a coconut mask if you are determined to get results. You should have an hour left to process your hair and leave it in, as well as rinse it off: 2-3 shampoos in a row.

It is ideal when the procedure takes place before bed, for example from Saturday to Sunday: go to bed with a mask on your hair, wearing a cap made of an old knitted T-shirt (for example). In the morning you wash it off.

If you have an oily type, do not apply oil to your roots. The mask weighs down your hair a little, so if you prefer voluminous styling, also avoid the roots, or carry out the procedure on the weekend - after a couple of days the feeling of weight disappears completely, and the rest of the positive “special effects” of the mask remain.![mask with coconut oil](masca- s-kokosovim-maslom.jpg)

SIMPLE MASK WITH COCONUT OIL. The amount of oil depends on the length and thickness of the hair. Heat the oil in your palms in small portions and distribute over dry, clean hair. You can steam the oil - hot oil works faster. Massage it. If necessary, rub into the roots. Carry out the procedure in a warm room, as the oil may form a crust. Put on a plastic cap and warm your head with a hairdryer. You can do it as in the photo below: the girl recommends sitting under a warm stream for 10-15 minutes, or you can insulate your head with a towel or any other available method. I have an old acrylic scarf for this. Masks with coconut oil work well at night, the minimum exposure time is 30 minutes. Recommendations for rinsing are at the end of the article. Coconut oil for bleached hair Option with essential oils: 5-10 drops of essential oil for your usual volume of coconut oil. For oily hair, I really like bergamot, mint, ylang-ylang. Cedar and rosewood are praised for their dry type. The Beauty section has several recipes for lotions and scrubs with coconut oil.

MASK WITH HONEY AND COCONUT OIL (+VINEGAR RINSE)

  • 2 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 0.5 cups of apple cider vinegar for the final rinse.

We heat the honey together with butter in a steam bath, or you can immediately add it in a jar. After some time, the mask becomes two-phase, so before use, warm it up again and mix it. Apply to dried hair after washing or dry hair for 30 minutes (minimum) and under a cap. mask with honey and coconut oil

Wash off using one of the methods suggested below. Last rinse: add half a glass of vinegar with cool water and wet your hair. Vinegar covers all the scales, the effect of the mask will last longer and the shine of the hair will attract attention))).

MASK WITH BANANA AND COCONUT OIL

  • 1 overripe banana
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

Puree the banana and butter and massage the mixture onto your head for as long as possible. For this procedure, you can connect someone from home))). Leave for 15 minutes under the cap. In this case, first wash your hair without shampoo to rinse off the banana if possible, and then use shampoo. This mask wakes up the hair follicles and increases hair thickness.

How to wash off the mask

When preparing material for the article, I read a lot of recommendations, some of which are completely harmful - for example, washing off a mask with soda. There is no need to do this! Not only will the baking soda NOT wash away the coconut oil, it will also dry out every place it gets, leaving the oil in place. But in fairness, baking soda is good for very oily hair…

There is a recommendation to rub in chicken yolk, and it really degreases well and is an additional source of fatty acids and protein, but you need to rinse off the yolk with cool water, otherwise you will have to comb the omelet out of your hair for several hours. Beat 1 egg with 2-3 tablespoons of water and a teaspoon of shampoo, massage your hair, leave for 10 minutes, rinse with slightly warm water. You don’t have to be smart and just use shampoo; 2-3 lathers will be enough. The oil will not disappear from the hair structure. Dilute a portion of the shampoo a little and apply to your hair before you get in the shower and wet the mask.
